The Palm Beach Diocese has a total of 24 CCW Affiliations (Catholic Churches who have a CCW council) - Southern Deanery has 9 - Central Deanery has 8 - Northern Deanery has 7
Each affiliation accomplishes its goals in the form of using committees. For some of the news of the Affiliations, see EVENTS AROUND THE DIOCESE.
There are usually four main standing committees each headed by a Chairman
Spirituality:
Save the Date! Most deaneries and several affiliations host a Marian Day of prayer and reflection each year. The day usually includes a delicious lunch; a day full of prayer and reflection; and the Eucharist.
Check the web site calendar for specific dates.
The first Sunday of May is reserved for the Diocesan Marian Day where the Bishop crowns Mary and participants engage in an international rosary and procession of various images honoring Our Blesed Mother under a variety of titles. Watch the calendar or your parish bulletin for details.
Service:
There are several projects for any affiliation to offer their support with. In the recent past, CCW has supported CRS, AVDA, Elimination of Human Trafficking; The Beaumont Texas School Project, and the ending of the Darfur Genocide , to name a few. Newer projects partner with Cross Catholic Outreach, Caps of Love, Free the Girls and Hugs for the Homeless (an FCCW lead program).

Leadership:
Council Develpment Days and Officer Training Sessions are being planned by each Deanery. Contact your Deanery President via this website for details. Plan to attend the annual training offered by PBDCCW Council Development Team in October.
As with service there are many issues that need our support and voice. Each March, Participants of "Catholic Days at the Capitol" ride on a bus trip to Tallahassee where we met with our legislators on issues as Human Dignity, Marriage, Death Penalty, Right of the Worker, Children and God's Creation of Earth, Immigration, and many more.

Other Committees:
Other ad- hoc committees may be developed as an affiliation president determines. These committees have a purpose or "charge" and are eliminated when their goals are completed.
Their chair holds no Board Vote, and has voice only on their committee's issues. they only attend the board meetings when their issues are on the agenda
Check your bylaws often !! Review /revise every 2 years
and follow them, along with your standing rules. Use your parliamentarian, or contact your inner circle source (Deanery, Diocese, Province, National) for additional assistance.
